I have always liked Rose State College because it was just the right size. Our children and nephew attended Rose State, and all are successful in their fields. So, it only seemed natural that when I was ready to return to school, it would be as a Rose State Raider.

I started at Rose State the summer after my sophomore year in high school and completed 46 hours of concurrent enrollment coursework before graduation. Concurrent helped my higher education journey by allowing me to complete dual credit and graduate with an Associate of Science in Chemistry by the end of my freshman year.

Rose State College is pleased to announce �that the Norman and Carolyn Mejstrik Family Scholarship has been fully endowed through a generous gift from the Mejstrik family to the Rose State College Foundation.
The new endowment will provide financial assistance to two Rose State College students each academic year, beginning in 2027. The scholarship aims to remove financial barriers and empower students to focus on achieving their academic and career goals.

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Regent Brigadier General Richard (“Dick”) Hefton, a steadfast champion of Rose State College and a dear friend to many.
On behalf of the entire Rose State family, we extend heartfelt condolences to the Hefton family and to all who knew and loved him. We are grateful for Regent Hefton’s leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to our mission.
